Ruinous Smoke

What a fucking douche.

One of the most difficult things to do for a person is to admit to themselves that 'I was the villain.' There lies a fundamental truth of our philosophy...reflection. Series One was completely about the masks we wear. We went briefly over two personality test. We learned a little about ourselves, our own shetra (the field of action). I personally revealed aspects of my own profile to you, Type 8, Architect. In case you didn't realize that's what I call:

Super Villain Energy

But...alas I am not a villain because I am intimidated with my own 'negative self.' When confronted with a part of themselves in which they do not wish reconcile it is common for people to pretend it doesn't exist...that is an error.

Pretending does not give that part any less presence or capability. It only removes the duty of personal regulation. The problem will still be there waiting for you...gaining presence with exception you make for it.

In a previous blog, Vlad, we talked about Dracula. In grief, he longed to hold his wife again. The price he paid for victory was her death. His shetra, his field of action, was full of savagery and murder. He cursed God and willingly separated himself from deity. Unattached he fell into something else...something he instantly regretted. That something is The Eight Sphere.

The consciousness (if you can even call it that) of The Eight Sphere is always seeking instruments to act through. The reflection of the Eight Sphere that equally exist in man, we call 'The Dweller on the Threshold.' Sounds ominous doesn't it?

Not as ominous as 'Ruinous Smoke.' This is how I refer to my personal dweller as a personality...as a controller. Which is what it ultimately seeks to become.

I acknowledge and eventually rejected Ruinous Smoke...and then quite prophetically ans ironically my life turned to shit.

You might think crazy of me. Napoleon Hill once said, 'A problem discovered, is a problem half solved.'

Recognition of a problem...is a sign of sobriety.

The Dweller is the shadow in you that must be confronted, and brought under your conscious control. That hinges squarely upon the recognition thereof. The only other option is, let it rule you and it will most certainly do just that.

Let's be candid, multitudes of people take to that option, both voluntary and accidentally. Ask any of the addicted homeless on our city streets and they will confirm an emptiness inside...one that can never be filled.

I know...because I was once there too. Remember that Krishna once said to Duryodhana,

No man ever falls so low, that he is beyond redemption.

Take that in for a moment. You see in order to truly understand salvation you must have suffering. A man can not evolve himself, he must have help. The Dweller is embedded in each to be that help...in the form of a rival.

Think about, every person need a rival, they are the reason why you rise. The opposing force which causes you to grow.

So now you know this things about me

Myers Briggs - INTJ Architect

Enneagram - Type 8 Challeger

Dweller Name - Ruinous Smoke

Super Villain Energy...the very fact that I am laughing at myself, means I am comfortable with that. I have it...I just don't use it.

And Then…Magneto

So, I grew in the age of Star Wars…it was fucking awesome! When I was a kid, the first heroes I remember emulating were Flash Gordon and He-Man…because you know, ‘I have the power.’

But then, something traumatic happened in my life, a childhood grief, began to express itself in an affinity for Ming The Merciless.

When watching G.I. Joe, I didn’t want to be a Joe , a patriot. I wanted to be Cobra, a mercenary and an outlaw. The Cobra Commander…there was just something about that damn mask.

And then we have in my opinion, the G.O.A.T. of super villains, an oddly enough, one whose very power I wanted for myself.

Who could it be?

Yeah…this guy!

You see, later in life, I came to understand that ‘The Force’ of science fiction fame, was known to ancient people as ‘Fohat.’

Magneto’s power is an expression of Fohat, control over matter, the force of the mind.
