The Septenate
‘Earth, water, fire, air, space, mind, intellect, and ego—these are eight components of My material energy.’
‘Such is My inferior energy. But beyond it, O mighty-armed Arjun, I have a superior energy. This is the jīva śhakti (the soul energy), which comprises the embodied souls who are the basis of life in this world.’
Theosophy says seven energies or states of consciousness exist, while Krishna says their are nine, and Christianity widely recognizes three. So what’s up with all of these discrepancies? Let’s examine this conundrum together.
This last of the technical series deals primarily with religions and the philosophical models that are used to explain and relate the Absolute (God) to the Finite (Man). The important take away from this examination is:
‘No model, no matter how cleverly constructed can ever thoroughly explain ‘The Absolute.’ It is beyond words and attributes. It is a reality and consciousness unto itself. Models are a necessary construct for human understanding. All religions are based upon these models. Therefore errors must be acknowledge before improvements can be applied. But you can not improve upon what you do not understand.’
