“VAl’R” pt. 3
Enter ‘Ruinous Smoke’
“Now the story is played out like this, just like a paper back novel. Let’s re-write and ending that fits…instead of a Hollywood horror.” - Nickelback
“Ruinous ‘God Damn’ Smoke,” oh where do I begin?
I used to date, errr, correction. I used to fuck and do drugs with this girl, let’s call her Melissa. She was a free spirit, one of those hippie girls that followed bands around the country, living out of a old Ford Bronco, making money by dealing drugs. A true minimalist, a modern day gypsy. Melissa wasn’t the prettiest girl, there was just something about her that was fantastic! She had fire red hair, usually worn in pig-tails. On the areolas of her breast she had petinuas tattoed over them…I always enjoyed looking at those flowers. Hehehehe!
I bring her up because she just had this way of dousing my anger & agitation in a way that was comical and specifically catered to me. I suppose she understood my inner conflict before I understood my own inner conflict. For that I considered her one of my many teachers in life, and she will always be special to me.
As a Type Eight, when I was younger, I was always angry. Whenever I was getting worked up…getting ready to burst, she would grab my hands. Look me in the eye and say these charming words:
“Calm down…Cory ‘Mother Fucking’ Wall!”
I would look at her blankly for a moment, with my face all screwed up, and then just laugh. With just a few words, she completely disarmed me. Heath Ledger’s Joker phrased it another way:
“Why so serious?”
And that is a good question for anyone to ask themselves.
