I’m not gonna lie, I’ve got that supervillain energy. My childhood heroes were Darth Vader, The Cobra Commander, and of course…Mumm-Ra ‘The Ever Living’ (you have to say the whole thing).
In my experience, the best all-purpose goon is usually a woman. People (men) underestimate women right up until the moment they realize they absolutely should not have.
Guys never see them coming.
I mean, I do, but that’s because I’ve got trust issues. I don’t trust anybody.
That’s probably why I’ve always liked the idea of the henchman. Loyalty with a job description. Everybody knows what they’re there to do, nobody needs a motivational speech, and nobody’s pretending this is a healthy workplace.
As the pimp saying goes:
“I keep all my bitches working.”
Supervillain management philosophy, apparently.
